Week 5 of SeaWheeze training is in the books! Monday was a 35 minute easy run and it was deceivingly hotter out than it appeared for a lunch time run with Jessica. Wednesday I was flying solo for intervals at lunch, 6 times 30 second all out, 1 minute walk. I ate those intervals UP let me tell you. While I don’t see any improvement in speed here, I definitely am not feeling as barfy, which I take as a win.
Yesterday was the only time I could fit in a long run and I was not excited to do so since it was absolutely miserable pouring rain in the morning. I texted Cassandra, who was going to watch Liam, that I was going to bail. She offered the use of her treadmill instead and said “no excuses.” Well, the only thing worse than running 11km in the pouring rain is running 11km on a treadmill so off I went. I ended up doing closer to 12km at an average pace of 8 minutes/km.
Today, instead of running I spent all day in class becoming certified as a Pound Pro! I’m exhausted and overwhelmed but left that course inspired. I can’t wait to learn some choreography and cueing and teach my first class before the end of summer!
