I can’t believe it’s already Friday. This week totally whizzed by for me, which usually isn’t the case after a long weekend. Before I get into this week’s fitness recap I have a bit of news.
I’m running my first half marathon!
I’m freaking out a little! Year after year I’ve suffered from FOMO seeing all the fun my friends have at SeaWheeze in Vancouver. I’ve never really had the desire to run a half marathon but figured if I was going to do it, a fun destination race would be where it’s at. So alongside a handful of my gal pals, I’ll be joining in all the SeaWheeze fun in August for my very first half. What’s even more awesome? Mary and Brie are both coming to run their first half marathons too! I can’t wait! It’s going to be so much fun!
Onto fitness for the week…
4km for Sunday Runday. In a tshirt!
Off – It was Mary’s birthday! I helped her celebrate by joining her and the crew for a drink
Off – I don’t even have an excuse other than, my motivation for working out at home after starting my “Where to Workout in Red Deer” series is completely gone. I’ve been to some amazing facilities lately and working out at home just seems so lame and it’s getting harder to squeeze home workouts in.
Warming Soul Flow at The Breathing Room – so, I’ll talk more about this studio at a future date. They just recently moved into a new space and you guys, it’s freaking amazing. Like, I’d be happy just chilling out in the bathroom because it’s so freaking beautiful in there. I was so pumped to be back at yoga in what seemed like forever and it was such a great class.
Movement and Mobility class at Absolute Fitness – this was a great class to work on some trigger point therapy, foam rolling and stretching that I definitely need to be doing on a regular basis. It got me nice and loosened up!
Conditiong Class at Absolute Fitness and then…
I’m off to a prohibition themed fundraising event! It sounds like it’s going to be a blast and I’m excited to wear the cute little flapper style dress I’ve had stashed away in my closet for years! The rest of the weekend is jam packed with fun and adventure before Liam comes home as well. I likely won’t be running on Sunday, but don’t let that stop you from joining up for Sunday Runday!
Anyone else running SeaWheeze next year?
Fun weekend plans?
