Despite the heartbreaking events up north, Liam and I had a pretty good week together. Between play dates with friends, park dates, and our first trip to the ice cream shop, we took full advantage of the nice weather and our evenings together. We’re both over tired but there’s no stopping with a busy weekend ahead.
This photo seriously cracks me up. I promise he is over the moon excited about his ice cream cone even though his face is all business.
Needless to say, this was kind of a subpar week fitness wise and I have absolutely no excuses for it.
Off – I chose to pick Liam up earlier and head to the lake instead of running 11km alone.
Liam and I met one of my friends and her two girls at a park to alternate running Piper “Mountain” while the kids played. I completed five rounds up the hill, down the stairs, back up the stairs and down the hill. Even Liam climbed the hill twice with me and once on his own with just the girls. I was so proud of him for eagerly joining in and keeping up with the big kids. It was a super fun way to fit in some fitness with a friend and the kiddos.
Off – I was stuffing my face at Roosters
CoreFit HIIT via CodyApp – it was still +26 out at 9pm when I finally got to my workout, which meant I was sweating buckets. I opted to keep it short and sweet just for that reason.
Off – no real reason other than being busy getting ready for the weekend ahead and trying to catch up on some work.
Off – we’ll be stuffing our faces with BBQ and cake for Brie’s birthday!
Liam and I are both registered for the Calgary Marathon’s inaugural St. Patrick’s Island Fun Run. It’s an island themed run with finisher leis at the and an island BBQ picnic to follow. The run/walk is 4km and I had originally thought there was a separate kids race, but it’s all one, so I will most likely be piggy-backing Liam most of the way 😉
Off – We will be spending the day with mama.
It’s safe to say that my race training has totally fallen to the wayside this week. But life happens, and that’s ok. At the end of the day, I know I’ll pick back up next week.
