Weekend Recap

March 21, 2016

Sometimes intros are the hardest part of these blog posts so I’m just going to jump right in.

After a long week away from my boy I was so excited for work to be over so I could pick him up. We headed to pick up something for supper before making a quick stop at the playground to burn off some energy. Apparently that didn’t help because Liam was goofy all night and wouldn’t settle down and go to sleep until after 9 pm. I had just enough energy to watch the week’s episode of Scandal and crawl into bed.

Is anyone keeping up with Scandal this season? Can we talk about how terrible it’s been? Everyone needs to stop being sneaky and lying to each other and OPA needs to actually pick up real cases.

No lazy Saturday morning for us. Liam woke up around 8 and we got ready and headed off to the theater for my realtor’s client appreciation event. They were showing Zootopia which was pretty cute. This was only the second time I’ve taken Liam to the theatre and he loves it.

After the movie, we made a quick stop for coffee and headed home for lunch. I really hoped Liam would have napped because I was sleepy and wanted a nap myself. Liam woke up in the night to go pee all by himself (so proud) but I woke up and couldn’t fall back asleep. Napping didn’t happen, though, we just ended up hanging out and playing in my bed for a couple hours. I’m not sure where this kid gets all his energy but I sure wish he would share.

We eventually went out in search of some groceries, made supper, and goofed off until bed time. I watched a couple episodes of Gilmore Girls before calling it a night. No matter how many times I’ve seen Gilmore Girls, it never gets old and will always be a favourite.

We got up and snuggled on the couch for an episode of Clifford before Liam was ready for breakfast. I love starting out mornings slow like that. Eventually, I was off for Sunday Runday, before coming home to quickly make myself presentable. We headed over to a friends place for brunch and it was amazing. They made French toast with coconut milk whipped cream, bacon and a huge fruit platter. I was stuffed by the end but thankful for time with friends. We used to get together weekly and now it’s far too long in between our get-togethers.

I wanted to go to the Running Room and look for some new running shoes, but it was such a nice afternoon that we headed to the playground again instead.

Eventually, we met up with Brie for dinner at Famoso at Liam’s request. I was surprised that he actually ate his entire pizza while Brie and I chatted. By the time we got home, it was bed time for Liam.

I’m excited for a short work week this week. Tomorrow I go to the dentist, which I’m not excited for since I’ve been avoiding getting some fillings and I’m sure I’ll be in trouble for it. We have also have plans to hit up an Easter event after work one night.

What did you get up to this weekend?
Any fun Easter plans?

I want to see Zootopia, it looks so funny! I’ve also never been to Famoso even though I LOVE neapolitan pizza, I need to change that.

I liked Zootopia! It was cute. The sloths were my favourite part. I don’t know why sloths get me every time lol.

YES! Go to Famoso and have the Cavoletti. Best pizza on the menu!

Did Liam get a haircut?! He looks older!
I want to see Zootopia, we might wait until it is on Popcorn Time 😉
What Easter event are you going to? I love Easter and wanted to do more but really do not have the energy these days, and I do not want to plan too much right now just in case. So we will just so a Easter egg hunt Sunday morning at home with Avery, but I might even do that Friday after this weekend I am starting to wonder if baby is going to stay in much longer.

Yeah……Liam apparently wanted short hair like his dad, so his dad took him for a haircut and buzzed all of the beautiful curls. It’s too short!!

I was thinking of going to the Sports Hall of Fame! You guys should come. It’s $10/family.

I’m pretty sure I watched 8 episodes of Gilmore Girls yesterday. I just couldn’t find the energy to do anything.

Thanks again for the dinner date! I’m craving more of that pizza today!! My goodness it was delicious! I didn’t try an egg hunt with sully last year, but I’m looking forward to doing one with him and his cousins this year! I’m thinking the weather will even be nice enough to have one outside!
