Sunday Runday #52

March 20, 2016

This morning I was lucky to have my friend Scott come over to hang out with Liam while Mary and I ran. I am very fortunate to have such great friends who are not only willing to help out but who Liam loves to hang out with.

Sunday’s have officially become long run day with the 10 week/10k training plan, and this morning we had 6km on the agenda. I was excited to be able to run at a comfortable place again after struggling through my runs earlier in the week. The race felt solid and I was reminded again that me and speed just aren’t friends but I feel like I can run forever at a snails pace. Will I ever be able to get past that? Stay tuned to find out….

If you’re new to Sunday Runday, it’s a weekly running date for anyone and everyone to join. It doesn’t matter the distance, the time, if you’re brand new or a seasoned marathoner, heck you don’t even need to run. Walk, jog, run, spin, lift, bend, move. The point is just to have fun and motivate each other to get on our feet. Get out there snap a pic, and send me your mini recap to becky at thebexfactor dot com before 7pm MST every single Sunday. Or, if you’re a fellow blogger, grab the banner and join the link-up with your favourite run chat from the week!

That’s pretty much how I feel about my running too…I can’t imagine ever being a fast runner.

I’m a big fan at plodding along at a relatively slow pace. I think running fast is fun for a short while, I dislike the feeling of death that inevitably comes with it.

Is there such thing as being a professional slow runner? I think I’d be good at that lol
