Hi friends! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. Can you believe it’s over already? I will be back to recap the holidays another day, but for now let’s chat about the last Sunday Runday of 2015!
If you’re new to Sunday Runday, it’s a weekly running date for anyone and everyone to join. It doesn’t matter the distance, the time, if you’re brand new or a seasoned marathoner, heck you don’t even need to run. Walk, jog, run, spin, lift, bend, move. The point is just to have fun and motivate each other to get on our feet. Get out there snap a pic, and send me your mini recap to becky at thebexfactor dot com before 7pm MST every single Sunday. Or, if you’re a fellow blogger, grab the banner, link back to me and create your own Sunday Runday post!
I never thought that I’d be excited to wake up and throw on a bunch of gear to run in -18 but somehow that’s what I’ve turned into. It’s so much easier to get out the door in adverse weather when you have a great friend to endure the cold with you. So thankful for Mary being my running partner in crime, especially through these cold months. We chose a new-to-us location, at an off leash park along the river (Three Mile Bend for the locals). It was kind of fun running into dogs that wanted to join us! I have a sneaking suspicion that we might be returning to that route. We tackled just over 4k before we decided we were frosty enough.
got in a quick 2km on the track before I lifted. felt good to run after a few days of what seemed like only eating!!
Still no running for me (injuries are the worst) but I did head outside for some walking hills today. 40 minutes in the snow/rain mix.
And that’s a wrap on Sunday Runday 2015. I’ll see you runners next year!
