Fitness Friday: Grokker’s Fave Workout

October 23, 2015

One of my recent challenges with fitting in my workouts at home, is that Liam has been fighting his normal bed time, which means my time to get things done in the evening is becoming shorter and shorter. Let’s hope the upcoming daylight savings will change that a little!

But this also means that I have more opportunities to work out with Liam. He’s not always willing to participate or would rather I play with him, but every once in a while he will join in on the fun. Recently he requested a yoga session, laying out two mats for us to practice on amidst the chaos of toys in the living room. Thanks to my premier Grokker membership, we were able to spend some quality time doing some family yoga together. Forgive the low quality photos, it’s hard to snap this kid in action!

Liam had so much fun doing a quick 15 minute routine that he requested more yoga. So more yoga we did. The best part? Making animal noises along with the poses and hearing him say ‘namaste’ at the end. I love my little yogi buddy. You can check out one of the videos we did here.

Of course, Grokker has a ton of workout and cooking videos that can be accessed through their site that you can do on your own, with a friend or with your own kiddos in the comfort of your own home. There really is something for everyone, whether you’re brand new to fitness or a fitness expert. As a busy mom, you can easily find quick and effective HIIT workouts, or peaceful yoga sequences without the high gym fees and time away from the kiddos. Workout how you want, when you want. Videos are great quality and easy to search based on what you’re looking for.

I’m giving away a three month premium membership to one lucky winner. Use the widget below to enter before October 29. Interested in checking it out yourself? Use code 99CENTS and receive your first month of premium membership for only 99 cents.

Lately, my favorite workouts are anything I can do quickly and at home!

Well….when I AM working out, my fave workout ever is Bodypump. But it’s been a looooong time since I’ve done that class. I definitely like group class workouts or videos though…I can’t just make up my own workouts, that’s for sure.

I love that Liam wanted to do Yoga with you – that’s so cute!!

I need to try a body pump class! I definitely can’t make up my own workouts either.

Loving my at-home workouts now (finally!). I didn’t know this website existed so I will have to check them out. So cute he says Namaste 😉

There seem to be so many websites like this popping up. Which is great. So many choices to get your workouts done at home or while travelling.

I’m signed up for two classes right now, a warm vinyasa flow and a hot hold. Love both, have tried doing yoga on my own but haven’t found an app that I truly love yet 🙂 Not enough variety they seem.

It’s definitely hard finding good online yoga classes. My favourites are DoYouYoga.com and ReflexionYoga.com.
