Oh hey there. I’m still half asleep from a little girls night out last night so let’s just get right to this…
After three weeks apart, Mary and I reunited for Sunday Runday this morning. She just finished her first 10k trail run yesterday and I was in no state to push hard, so we took it easy for 4k at a nice slow pace. We ran in a new for us spot and it was absolutely beautiful. It’s amazing how much of this city I’m still not entirely familiar with.
From Lindsey:
I decided to work on speed work for my Sunday run so stuck to the treadmill for today’s run. I find the treadmill to be the best thing for my speed work since it’s easily controlled. I got in 5 miles in 40 minutes and called it a day!
From Brie:
Completed my first ever Spartan Race today, the Spartan Sprint! It was an exceptionally muddy course, thanks to the rain all day yesterday, and took us almost two hours to do, but I had a blast running this OCR with my sister. I can’t wait for the Super Spartan in Red Deer next month!
I want to give a shoutout to Kaella, Ashley and Ange who all rocked the SeaWheeze half marathon in Vancouver yesterday. You’re all rockstars and I have my sights on this being my first half when I get brave enough to attempt training with my schedule.
Now it’s bed time for this tired mama, see you tomorrow where I’ll tell you all about the weekend adventures.

August 16, 2015 at 7:25 pmI agree – if I ever feel like I could properly train for a half marathon, I would want it to be for Seawheeze!
