Hi friends. I took a bit of a blogging hiatus while I was taking a little vacation in the mountains with my family. Today was my first day back to reality and I kicked it off with a morning run. After a couple weeks without my Sunday run, it felt great to be back at it. Won’t you join me for a little #SundayRunday?
I was happy to be reunited with Mary for our typical Sunday morning shenanigans. I love that we never really have a set distance in mind, we just keep each other going until we feel like we’ve had enough. The other thing I love? How running with friends becomes like therapy. Mary and I aimed for 4-5km depending on how we felt with the humidity but ended up pushing to 6. It felt great to move my legs again after a bit of a hiatus. I ended up staying back to sit by the river and finish my coffee after we parted ways, soaking up the last bit of nature before going back into the city.
A very humid & sweaty 10km with one of my favourite running partners this morning. It wasn’t an easy run, but runs like this make me appreciate the simple fact that I’m able to run. We did our 10km in 55 minutes.
Today, I ran my longest run yet: 14km! It was stormy and windy and definitely not easy, but I loved every step. It blows my mind that my first Half Marathon is less than 5 weeks away.
After our run, my boyfriend and I made eggs benny, watched reruns of friends, and then crashed for a two-hour nap while the rain fell outside. I love Sundays like this.
After the rain finally ended this afternoon, Harley and I went out for a HOT 5k run! I wasn’t quite expecting the heat.
Thanks for joining ladies!
If you want to get in on the #SundayRunday fun, join in next week by emailing becky (at) thebexfactor (dot) com with your run pic and details before 7pm MST. Looking forward to seeing all you badass runners!
