I must admit, in previous years it was always difficult to will myself out of bed for a Sunday run. These days, since I’m programmed to wake up at the crack of dawn, I love enjoying the fresh morning air. Today was no difference.
Mary had suggested heading to River Bend and it couldn’t have been a more perfect idea. The weather was amazing, the scenery was beautiful and while my body was feeling heavy, it was so good to get a run in during the still of the morning. We did a quick 5km before most of the city was even awake. Perfection.
From Leigh:
I went out for a 7km run with Harley in the wonderful sunshine! Sunday’s are the day when I get out for a run without pushing the stroller and for a bit of me time. One more week until my first race post baby!
From Kaella:
Ran the Run For Women in Calgary this morning and managed to shave 2.5 minutes off my PR. Finished 28th overall at 51:39.
So happy to have my favourite cheerleader waiting for me at the finish line! Plus, I finally got to meet some other run bloggers I’ve been friends with for ages! What an awesome day!
Awesome job and thanks for joining ladies!!
If you want to join in on the next Sunday Runday, be sure to watch Facebook and Twitter. All you need to do is email me your run photo and details before 7pm MST.
