Hello and Happy Easter Weekend!! My weekend kicked off a tad early when Liam projectile vomitted at his day home. Awesome. We spent the afternoon watching cartoons but he ran around like a maniac not sick at all. Hopefully he will be ok so we can enjoy some egg hunting and treats for the weekend!

Just checking in to share some workouts this morning. Liam’s dad is picking him up for the night and I will do my weekly clean, grocery shop, hit up the final day of Target (I’m sure there won’t be anything in the store) and prepare for Easter.

Saturday

e did the Ashtanga primary series and I was really struggling with it this time. It was a different instructor than I was used to and I had a hard time keeping up with her cueing. The deal breaker was the worded music playing

Sunday
Sunday Runday – 5km at 8 minute pace.

Awesome Cardio For Fat Burning via 14 Day Yoga Shred – After Liam went to bed I started the 14 day yoga shred from DoYouYoga.com. I’m so thankful to the person that gave me the heads up about this website after I had posted about resources for practicing yoga at home. This program is the same one I was looking to purchase from CodyApp, but it’s free. SCORE!

I also worked on some more headstand variations afterwards since apparently my core hadn’t gotten enough work already. I can now add wide legged forward fold to headstand and back, crow to headstand to back and PIKE HEADSTAND to my headstand repertoire. The pike headstand is something I’ve been aiming for ever since the headstand workshop I took a few weeks back. Tonight I realized that I was trying it from the forearm headstand, which is much harder than the tripod headstand. DUH! First attempt at piking in forearm headstand and I NAILED IT! Sorry for all the yoga mumbo jumbo if you have no idea what I’m talking about here. Just be excited for me ok? Thanks!

I plan on doing a full post about the 14 Day Yoga Shred once I’m done, so stay tuned in the next week for that. So far I’m really enjoying it, especially because the videos are short and snappy.

This weekend, I plan to go for a run, and hit up the Saturday power flow class at the studio as well as enjoy some quality family time. I wish you all a happy Easter!!
