Weekend Recap

June 2, 2014

Ugh! Monday! Why do you always have to come so quickly! I had such a great weekend, I just didn’t want it to end. It’s so hard coming back to work when the weather is so beautiful. I just want to take advantage of the sun while it lasts! I should have pursued a career in education so I could just have summers off.

It was so nice after work that I took Liam to the park to run around. I did intend on going for a run but by the time we got home and changed and packed up the stroller, we were running short on time. Once we got home we had a quick dinner and Liam headed to bed, a bit later than normal.

Liam was up at 7 so we watched some cartoons for a bit. The new show he is watching is called The Hive on Netflix. It’s about a family of bees and they are British. So stink in cute. Later in the morning we both had chiropractor appointments. Liam has to be taken off dairy as Dr. Joelle suspects a dairy intolerance is what has been making him sick so often. It’s going to be a bit of an adjustment but I’m hoping it will help! I got an adjustment too which really helped the soreness I was having.

We went straight from the chiropractor to the farmers market where we met up with Cassandra and Oliver for lunch. Liam ate nearly all of my sausage and perogies which means I need to buy extra next time! Liam’s dad got home late Friday night so he came and picked Liam up from the market. Once we were done I was on the road to Calgary!

I spent the afternoon at the zoo with Kaella and London, Tawnya, her husband Adam and their adorable daughter Scarlett and Lindsey, Chad and Avery.

Liam was suppose to come with me but since his dad was only home Saturday, I didn’t think it was fair to take away his dad time. I still had a great time watching the other littles in awe over their favourite animals. Makes me excited to take Liam another day this summer. My favourite part was the penguins!

After the zoo I met a friend down on 17th ave for dinner. We went to this amazing Thai restaurant and I swear it was the best Thai food of my life. It was still so gorgeous out that we sat out on the patio chatting away in the sun. It was almost 8pm by the time I finally got out of the city for a sunny drive home. I was wiped by the time I crawled into bed but it was such a great day.

I got up early and cleaned the house before Liam got dropped off. Once he was home, we headed off to our friends house for some play time in the sun. My phone is suddenly not saving my iPhone pictures after I take them randomly so I didn’t have any pictures of Liam and Sophie together. They’re so stinkin’ cute. Liam was feeding Sophie water from his water bottle. Such a good little friend.

Eventually we had to say goodbye to the sunshine to go home for lunch and a nap. I had good intentions of being productive during nap time but ended up napping myself. Afterwards we headed out to buy Liam a new Yankees hat and some smoothies at the mall and then get groceries.

By the end of the day I was wiped from all the fun in the sun all weekend. No complaints though, I’m already looking forward to next weekend. Oh, and I got a tan, no more see through Becky!

It was GREAT to see you!! I’m definitely up for meeting up at the zoo again anytime 🙂

I’ve been looking at Yankees hats for London too but his head is between the toddler and youth size. They could be twins with their NYC Hats and elephant shirts haha!

Glad you had a great weekend!! See you in a few weeks!

Did you decide if you’re going to bring Liam to the colour run?
