Instead of taking advantage of a morning to sleep in, I set my alarm early and got up to go for a run before picking up Liam this morning. The weather has been so nice that I’ve been itching to hit the trails. It was a little slick in places so I definitely had to take it easy. I nearly fell a few times.

I just did a short out and back on my regular trail. It was just under two miles with a couple walk breaks that had me out for about 25 minutes. My legs definitely felt it at the end. It felt good though. I’m hoping I can get out at least once a week. I would still like to find a cheap running stroller to take Liam with me too but for now I will try and take advantage of nice weather and child free time.

I used the Nike+ Run app for the first time and really liked it aside from the fact that it only gives you miles and I prefer km’s. It’s minor though. I love that it tells me calories burned which none of my previous run apps ever did.

    Sure did! Today was day one of half marathon training, eek!

    I’m not sure how to change the settings but I have that app and my runs show up in kilometres. I didn’t get out for a run but it was definitely a great weekend for it!

    You have definitely run more than me and I am “supposed” to be training to a half marathon hahaha

    You can definitely change it to KM in your settings 🙂

    Click on settings
    Then your name
    Then Unites of Measure (change to metric)
