Spring seems to have made an appearance this weekend which was welcomed with open arms. As usual, I finished the weekend exhausted, but it was all worth it.
Friday evening I attended the Rebels game in the company box with my boss and some coworkers. It was a great evening eating pizza, having a couple beers and the game was awesome too! Afterwards my friend/coworker decided to meet up with another friend of ours for a couple more beers before heading home. All in all a fun night out!
Saturday morning I had planned to do some house cleaning, hit up a yoga class and get some groceries before my afternoon adventure. I was feeling pretty lazy instead so a sleep in happened before I did a quick tidy and headed out for some errands. Once I had dropped groceries off at home and had some lunch I was off to The Gentleman’s house. He lives in a small town about 45 minutes North. He had planned a trip to his favourite camping spot to build a bonfire and roast hot dogs. We were spoiled with good weather, I didn’t even have to wear my coat!
It was such a fun evening and makes me really excited to do more stuff like this in the summer!
Did anyone else forget about daylight savings on Sunday? I sure did. After I picked Liam’s up from his dads, Oliver came over to hang out for awhile while Cassandra went to work. We had another friend and her little girl stop by so all three toddlers ran around having a good time. Just as the extra kiddos were leaving, my parents stopped by for a quick visit. They brought an armload of new clothes and shoes for Liam, including a pair of lightup shoes!! WHAT! I didn’t know they made light up shoes in toddler size! Unsurprisingly, Liam’s feet are bigger than I originally thought so I will have to exchange them for a bigger size but I’m pretty pumped for him to rock those things!
After all the visitors and excitement died down, Liam went for a nap but I didn’t want him to sleep long since it was already 4 and I wanted him to go to bed at normal time still. I woke him at 4:30 and he was not impressed. We spent some time on the couch cuddling until he was feeling up to some shenanigans. As I write this I’m still waiting for him to go to sleep so I can say I won the battle against daylight savings! Once he’s asleep my night will be spent in the tub and catching up on my book
Did you get a chance to enjoy the nice weather this weekend?
