Shall we recap the weekend?
I found my perfect house in my perfect neighbourhood Friday afternoon.
It was a productive day at the office 😉
After work my parents were in town and they brought in sushi for dinner for us while they visited Liam. My dad had picked up a parcel for me and I was excited to see that it was my Canadian Blog Swap gift! Thank you so much Nicole, I love it!
My mom has the same ornaments on her tree which makes it extra special! Plus, treats!
Saturday morning we had plans to meet up with my parents for breakfast but because it was so cold they decided to bring breakfast to Liam and I. We cooked up some sausages, eggs and waffles before heading over to Cassandra’s to celebrate Oliver’s first birthday!
Liam totally needed a nap at the party but he didn’t want to miss out on any fun so he screamed when I tried to put him for a nap. I was worried he would have a meltdown after the party because we were going to take him to meet Santa at the mall! Fortunately he did just fine and probably being tired was a good thing.
After Santa my parents headed home and I attempted to put Liam for a nap when we were home. It wasn’t happening, poor kid was so over tired. He ended up going to sleep at 6!
I was worried with Liam going to bed so early that he would be up just as early but he actually slept until 8am! Needless to say he was super goofy in the morning while we waited for his dad to pick him up.
I headed out to brunch at Heritage Ranch which was delicious as always. After brunch I ran a few errands and grocery shopped before coming home to do some meal prep. I am going back to my chicken, rice and steamed veggies multiple times a day plan so I can get myself back into a clean eating routine. I have still been eating like I’m training and it’s almost been two months since I’ve been at Crossfit so I can’t keep eating that way anymore!
Luckily Melea was going to work out later in the afternoon so she told me to meet her at the gym! I feel like Melea’s warmup was good enough for me but I kept going and did some more stuff with her before calling it quits. I had dinner plans at a new place in town!
All in all it was a busy but fun weekend and I’m not ready for another week of work!
What was the highlight of your weekend?
