Fitness Friday

Yahoo, it’s already Friday! This work week just flew by for me (I only worked two days). It was a good way to ease back into work. With the craziness of the week, I only made it to Crossfit twice but I’m hoping to start going on my lunch breaks a few times a week. I’m not sure how well it will work only having an hour to change, drive and workout, but I would really like to make it to the gym more than Tuesdays and Thursdays and that’s really my only option.


Front Squat – 75% 4×5 – I used 85# and it felt REALLY heavy. I haven’t done front squat for what seems like forever.

4 rounds:
– 100m run
– 25 Wallballs

 This WOD sucked. I was so tired I don’t even know what I was even doing at the gym. Running and wallballs combined are my arch nemesis. Half way through I hit a wall and just wanted to cry because I was so tired and I was struggling to keep going. I finished in 9:36 which was still a decent time considering. Brutal.

I was one hurting unit on Wednesday.


Power Clean – 85% 5×3 – I used 75# and damn was it heavy.

AMRAP in 8 minutes:
– 3 Power cleans at 75% – 65#
– 6 Dips

Those cleans, ugh. I was still tight from Tuesday so these felt super rough. I did bench dips since I haven’t done dips in a million years. I finished 11 rounds.

Have you ever worked out on your lunch break? Do you like it or is it too rushed?

    When I worked downtown I used too & recently I have gone to yoga lunch classes since its close to my office now.
    One more day till the weekend!

      How did you find getting all sweaty and then going back to the office? That’s my biggest concern. And not having enough time.

    Nice work! I wish I had a longer lunch to do a workout but I also would hate to get all sweaty and then go back to work. Glad you survived you first few days back!!

      I only get an hour for lunch so it’s not a lot of time and yeah, I’m not sure how well it will work getting all sweaty. Will try it out and see.
