So that was the first weekend of April I guess? Sure doesn’t seem like it given the amount of SNOW on the ground. Gross. Although I can’t say I’m surprised. I won’t even be surprised when it snows next month on the long weekend like it usually does somewhere in the province. Gotta love Alberta!
I must say this weekend wasn’t too terribly exciting. Saturday morning I went to the gym to cheer on my fellow athletes completing their final Crossfit Open WOD. Since it was such a quick WOD, it didn’t take long for everyone to finish. Once I got home, Layne and I headed out again for coffee and to find somewhere to get our taxes done, finally. I didn’t think it was going to be an all day event. It honestly took us all afternoon to find somewhere with an opening for us. We couldn’t even complete them because the government didn’t send me the T4 for my EI from being on maternity leave. I’m crossing my fingers that I won’t end up owing anything, especially because it’s costing so much to have our taxes done (I’m used to my mom doing mine for free!).
Saturday night Layne had to work so I just chilled and watched some lame chick flick on Netflix. BORING.
Sunday was the usual brunch and groceries. I made a huge batch of baby food for Liam so I won’t have to scramble to make him something during his last nap. I also did some food prep for the week and got in a quick cardio workout before bathing Liam and putting him to bed.
I feel like this week is going to be busy but I’m looking forward to getting some more crossfit workouts in now that the Open is over, hopefully getting a run or two in if the weather cooperates and some healthy eats! I just got the Zcut Power Cardio Series DVDs so I’m going to try and work the 30 day plan around my regular workouts.
What are you looking forward to this week?
