One of my favorite things is getting stuff in the mail. I think it stems from childhood when I would write letters to various pen pals around the world. I kept in touch with one pen pal from New Zealand for many years and even had the opportunity to meet her when she travelled to Canada a couple of years ago. It was super cool!
It’s disappointing that the written letter has died with the age of the internet. I wish more people wrote letters theses days because I sure would love to send and receive more!
But even though I don’t get fun letters in the mail anymore, I do occasionally receive some fun treats. Last week while I was
dying sick, I received a limited edition box in celebration of Glossy Box‘s first birthday in Canada. FUN!
“GLOSSYBOX is a monthly subscription which sends you a beautifully curated box of at least 5 deluxe-sized beauty products, hand-picked by our beauty experts and mailed directly to your door. No matter which subscription plan you choose, from once-a-month to just once, this box is the perfect little gift from you to you!” – via Glossybox.ca
I must say, there’s some pretty great stuff in here that I’m excited to try!
There’s Givenchy lip gloss (so fancy!), Essence Quatro eyeshadow, Biore deep cleansing pore strips, Macadamia Natural Oil healing oil treatment (I’m so pumped to try this), Anatomicals body cleanser, Eucerin Day and Night cream, Crabtree and Evelyn hand lotion, and a cupcake kit in celebration of the Glossy Box birthday! Not a bad box of loot if I do say so!
If I was more into beauty ‘stuff’, I think a subscription like this would be super cool. I’m not going to lie though, I just tossed a huge pile of stuff from my makeup bag that hadn’t been touched in years. I can’t help that I’m too low maintenance/not good with hair/makeup.
Anyways, the little mister and I are off to yoga this morning and a coffee date this afternoon so we best get ready! Have a great day!
Do you have any subscriptions such as Glossy Box? Would you get one? I think it would be cool to get a clothing one. I’ve seen a few out there in the blog world where they send you pieces and if you like them you buy them and send the rest back. If I had the extra cash I would totally try one out.
Related, was anyone ever a Columbia House subscriber? I sure was! I loved picking out new CDs!
Did you ever have a pen pal when you were a kid?
