I remember last Easter well. We had Easter dinner at my aunt and uncles in Calgary. I was harboring the secret of my pregnancy and felt awkward and uncomfortable the entire time. At that point I had put on some weight and was looking chubbier than my usual fit self. I wondered if anyone would notice and what they would think. I was waiting a couple more days to announce the pregnancy until after we had the first ultrasound.
A couple weeks later I posted this photo:
Since then the little red shoes have been filled and there’s a new pair oftiny Toms shoes in the wings.
We definitely weren’t planning on extending our family so soon (then again, we weren’t really planning on having a family in the first place!), but we are excited to welcome a new little sibling for Liam early September! Hopefully this time they have the due date right! I guess they’re right when they say it’s super easy to get pregnant right after giving birth, yikes!
I hardly had a break from being pregnant, but I’m so happy to report that things have been going a little better this time. I don’t have the terrible fatigue like I did with Liam and I seem to have lots of energy. So far I’ve been lucky to have no morning sickness either. I’m sure I will pay for all of this good feeling later on in the pregnancy.
Of course I will be doing weekly updates as to how this pregnancy is going so stay tuned for those. Who would have thought that I would have two little ones so soon! We are very lucky!
