This has absolutely nothing to do with the movie and everything to do with the start of my new feature! If you’ve been reading for awhile you know that my friends and I always meet up for brunch Sunday mornings. We only do this from October-May because the summer months we meet at the Farmer’s Market instead! I thought it would be fun to review some of the brunch buffets we visit.
First up is Cafe Tiffany’s. I had no idea they even had a brunch buffet here but apparently it’s being advertised all over the radio so we decided to check it out. Tiffany’s was named the number one date restaurant in Red Deer a few years ago. They have a great lounge so I can see that. I don’t eat at Tiffany’s much but I used to always like going there for drinks and appies. I love the decor inside, the restaurant isn’t too loud so you can actually have a conversation. Brunch however, is not their strong point.
The selection of food was very small and being on a restricted meal plan right now, there wasn’t much I could eat. There was no specifically there to cut the roast and ham as they were short staffed. They were not quick on refilling empty dishes, I didn’t get any bacon!! The most bizarre part? On the fruit and dessert table, there were strawberries just laying all over the table, on purpose, among some very green bananas. It was strange. Of the food that I was able to eat, it was not very good at all.
The price was great at $16.99 but honestly, it wasn’t worth it.
I give Tiffany’s 1.5 bacon strips out of 5. The price and decor are great, but the quantity and quality of food was lacking. I don’t think we will return to Tiffany’s for brunch.
