This is the first Music Monday of 2013! What better way to celebrate then by looking back at some of the best of 2012. I must say, this was kind of a slow year for concerts. Pregnancy definitely limited the number of concerts I could attend. I think my one a month average for concerts has come to an end. It’s now time to pick and choose which shows will be worth being away from Little L for an evening or even day.
Honestly though, there weren’t many more concerts than that. Elton John was hands down the best of the year. Just amazing. Unfortunately I have absolutely zero concerts to look forward to yet this year. I can tell you who I’d LIKE to see (Bruno Mars, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Mumford and Sons), but they aren’t scheduled to come to Alberta any time soon. Sigh.
Last year I listed some albums I was anticipating being released but not all of them made the list for my favorite albums of the year. The albums that did make the list, however, are pretty damn good in my books.
Top 5 Albums of 2012
1) No Doubt – Push and Shove
2) Bruno Mars – Unorthodox Jukebox
3) Mumford and Sons – Babel
4) Blaqk Audio – Bright Black Heaven
5) Pink – The Truth About Love
The best part about starting a new year, is looking forward to new music. There are some albums both scheduled and rumored to be released this year that I can’t wait to check out:
Anticipated albums of 2013

There you have it folks, another year in review.
