As today is Thanksgiving here in Canada, I thought I would take a moment to share with you the things that I am thankful for this year. Even though I think my family is NOT thankful that I’m showing up to dinner tonight, since I was suppose to be arriving with a new bundle of joy….
I am thankful for my family. I honestly don’t know what I would do without my parents in my life. They are so loving and supportive of me and everything I do, no matter what. Through all of my mistakes and bad decisions, they are always on my side. When I got pregnant, I was so scared I would have let them down since I wasn’t married and in a new relationship. It wasn’t the life plan any of us had in mind. But throughout my entire pregnancy they have been nothing but supportive and I know that no matter what happens, they’ve always got my back. If I had no one else in the world, I know that my parents will always be there for me.
I am thankful for my best friend. I’ve mentioned on here before that growing up I never really had that one best friend that every girl should have. It wasn’t until I met Cassandra that changed and I wouldn’t trade my best friend for the world. She is always there for me no matter what. If I need a partner in crime for some crazy new adventure, she’s there. If I need a shoulder to cry on at 5am, she’s there. If I need to escape, I know I can always run to her. Through the good times and the bad, I can rely on her to be there for me. She’s the sister I never had and I am happy that we became friends.
I am thankful for a healthy pregnancy. I have heard so many women who have had rough pregnancy’s. I am so thankful that mine has been relatively easy. No morning sickness, no bed rest, no issues at all. I was able to stay active up until the very end, nothing slowed me down. I am thankful for my health and the health of my baby.
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
