The Countdown is On!

Today marks two weeks until I leave for Europe! This is my first time leaving North America and I’m beyond excited. I will be joining Mr. Fitness for a week in Ireland!

We start with a couple days in Dublin, travel to Killarny for a couple days, ending the trip with a few nights at Dromoland Castle before flying home from Shannon. Since Mr. Fitness is going early to visit family in Amsterdam, I was on my own for flights. The cheapest solution for me was to fly in and out of Manchester and as such, I have a day and a half in Manchester by myself.

I was really hoping the Vancouver Canucks wouldn’t make it to the finals so my good friend Greg would come from London to hang out. He’s from Vancouver and missed the Olympics last year so he wanted to be home to cheer on his team since Vancouver hasn’t been in the finals for a long time. Unfortunately, they made it so I think I’ll be alone in Manc. But that’s ok, I’m happy a Canadian team is in the finals and am excited to do some exploring by myself! If anyone has ever been there and has any suggestions for things to see and do, places to eat, etc please let me know. Otherwise I may just do a hop on, hop off tour to keep myself occupied for the day.

Also, if any of you have some good advice on maintaining a fairly good diet on holidays or have any good workouts, send them my way. I do plan on enjoying myself on this trip, but I don’t want to go completely overboard as I leave for my best friends wedding in Mexico two weeks after my return!

    i’m super jealous!!!!
    just eat the good stuff, like fruit and vegetables, you just gotta kind of think about what your putting in your mouth, but of course you gotta enjoy the bad stuff too!! you’ll do fine!

      I’m so bad for never making good decisions unless I have my little routine.

      And I’m worried about going from eating 6-7 times a day to only 3 when meals are scheduled. I feel I should pack some snacks but not sure what aside from some Lara bars. Who knows if I’ll have grocery store access or fridges or anything.
